Your Research project

This project aims to develop a gene therapy for severe von Willebrand disease by correcting the underlying genetic defect. Using endothelial cell-targeted high-capacity adenoviral vectors, the research seeks to achieve safe, long-term expression of functional von Willebrand factor, overcoming the limitations of current treatments and previous gene therapy approaches. Successful outcomes could enable future preclinical and clinical development.

The project combines molecular virology, viral vector engineering, and advanced cell culture systems, contributing to the development of safer and more effective gene therapy approaches.
